Dear Dr. Bernstein,

More than six months have gone by since my second eyebrow transplant operation and I just want to let you know how pleased I am with the results. It is wonderful having the eyebrows of my youth back on my face again.

Please consider me entirely satisfied with your work.

Sincerely,

C. B.

You guys are amazing. Doctor Bernstein is amazing.
Your attention to detail is unmatched.
Cannot begin to tell you how impressed I am with the entire Bernstein brand.
Dr. should publish books – not on hair replacement – but on how to manage and run a business effectively at every level. I’ll be in touch in the future when I’m ready for the next procedure.
In in the interim – keep up the wonderful work!

Dear Dr. Bernstein,

I want to thank you and your professional caring staff for performing my very important procedure on April 27th, 2015. There was very little discomfort – equivalent to seeing a dentist. I know the results will exceed my expectations once my new hair grows out.

My first procedure with you was last April 2014 for corrective means which was done by another practice that did not result in a natural appearance. Your talents both as a physician and artist rendered me the appearance of a much softer and fuller look which I have been complimented on numerous times!

With my 22 years of medical experience both as a medical device and pharmaceutical representative, I know what professional medical services are all about. I have called upon many practices and but rarely does one stand out like yours!

I can tell you that you exceed excellent standards and results in every respect. If anyone has a few questions for me please have them contact me.

Thank you again Dr. Bernstein and Staff!

Dear Dr. Bernstein,

I just want to say thank you for being such a wonderful doctor and an even kinder man. You helped me in three specific ways:

  1. You helped restore my confidence/self-esteem by doing such a bang-up job on my hair transplant.
  2. You gave me a discount which really helped because I’m kind of poor so the money saved is a great thing.
  3. Throughout the whole process, you were sweet, transparent, communicative, patient, and approachable.

In conclusion, thanks for being so awesome. You will always have a friend in me.

Sincerely,
U.R.

Dear Dr. Bernstein,

It has been almost eight years since my second hair transplant and it has been wonderful. My new head of hair has given me a lot of confidence and boosted my self-esteem. When I look in the mirror and see my head of hair, it makes me feel good about myself and this translates to me being in a good mood, having a good day and enhances my interactions with others. It also makes me look and feel younger and invigorated. I am going to be 49 years old in a month’s time and without any hair, I would probably look 10-15 years older.

I have often thought about why something like having a head-full of hair would make a difference to my life. Yes, it may only be superficial but aren’t most things based on appearances? Like it or not, we are often judged at the first instance by how we present ourselves. Looking well groomed and fit shows the world you take good care of yourself and take pride in how you look and this is something positive and self-empowering.

Thank you Dr. Bernstein and your wonderful team for giving me all these attributes!

Hi Dr. Bernstein:

You performed two hair transplant surgeries for me many years ago. I am now retired and sometimes reflect on my business career and what a confidence boost my new full head of hair gave me over the years. Often when I mentioned that I had hair transplants I was told how natural my hair looked. I am planning one more surgery to last me in my senior years and look forward to learning about the latest procedures.

Happy New Year!

Hi Dr. Bernstein,

I’ve been thinking about doing something about my hair since 2005. I read as much as I could. I visited at least three (3) practices over the years. I asked my PCP for a prescription for Propecia and I have been using minoxidil since before 2005. After doing all of that I knew that the only other approach to addressing my hair loss and appearance was a hair transplant. You made the difference. First, because you are a recognized expert in the field. But more important is your humility, unassuming nature, down to earth personality and your ability to inspire trust. I know that there are no guarantees about the outcome. But you shared the risks and took the time to explain the options and what to expect – both positive and negative. So whatever happens, I’m very confident that I chose the best practice and the very best doctor to work with.

Thanks again,

L. V.

Dr. Bernstein,

I had been considering a hair transplant for many years now. Fortunately, having been on Propecia for 12 years, my hair loss was more towards the mild side, so I only needed around 1,400 grafts. Since I do have to wear a helmet at work and always wear the back and sides very short, I knew the standard STRIP (FUT) method would not work well for/with me. Having followed Dr. Bernstein’s progress as one of the early pioneers of the ARTAS Robotic FUE system, I knew without a doubt that ARTAS was the technology, and Dr. Bernstein was by far the best hair restoration surgeon to perform the procedure.

I must say, there was some nervousness prior to the procedure, but the entire process was so much easier and painless than I had possibly imagined. I could not even feel when the ARTAS was retrieving donor hair, nor when the transplant sites were being made. I had little to no pain or discomfort even after the procedure. The staff was incredibly accommodating and responsive to every question. I’m looking forward to seeing the full results of Dr. Bernstein’s work in the coming months.

Dr. Bernstein,

Having had previous hair transplant procedures with other Doctors, I feel that I am in the position to comment on my experience in your office.

I must compliment you and your staff on making my hair restoration procedure a very pleasurable experience. I would also like to sincerely thank you for your complete professionalism and honesty. Let me explain what I mean.

Just prior to the procedure, as I was sitting in the operating room you came in to review the areas that you were going to transplant. My procedure was for 500 grafts, in the case of hair transplants, this is considered a mini-session. As you were reviewing the course of action I said to you that if you feel that I need more grafts than previous discussed I had no problem with your decision. At this point you could have very easily told me just about any reasonable recommendation and I would have agreed to it. Your response to me was that 500 grafts would be sufficient. I am aware that this could have been the ideal opportunity to generate additional income to your practice. But based upon your response, you showed me that you are a man of complete integrity and professionalism. In this day and age it is quite refreshing to know that there are still Doctors out there that are more interested in the well being of their patients than the all mighty dollar.

Regards,

K. K.

Dr. Bernstein and Staff,

I want to thank all of you for making a very apprehensive patient feel at ease. It was wonderful to be surrounded by such beautiful, caring and professional people. It gave me hope that this operation would turn out much differently then my past experiences with other places.

Special thanks to the two young ladies who had the duty of holding my hand through the “pins & needles.”

Sincerely,

M. H.

I just wanted to say thanks to you and your staff for the excellent work that you did on me. If you recall, I underwent scar excision of 36 old plugs. The results are great!

I was apprehensive at first, and having to go through three procedures wasn’t exactly thrilling, but in the end the results are incredible. I was finally able to take off the hair piece I’ve been wearing for the past ten years.

Also, thanks for putting me on Propecia. Taking that in connection with Rogaine, I was able to restore a lot of hair. It’s still a little thin in front, but I’m going to give the drugs a few more months and then decide if I should have a session of follicular transplants done.

Thanks again!

Dr. Bernstein,

I just want to thank you for doing such a great job on repairing my linear scar on the back of my head. You conducted two FUE’s on me, one 2009 and one in 2010. I sincerely appreciate your help and the change you’ve made in my life.

Dear Dr. Bernstein,

I just thought I would drop you a line to let you know that everything is going just fine and healing very nicely.

The main reason I am writing it to express my appreciation to you and staff. Everyone made me feel very, very comfortable, considering what I was going through.

I knew I made the right decision on having you do my hair transplant after last Tuesday. I can hardly wait to see the end result. I look forward to seeing you and your staff in June.

Thanks you all very much!

Dear Dr. Bernstein,

I had been losing my hair from the crown for 7 or 8 years when it started to fall out from the top and front as well. I could tolerate the crown loss as I couldn’t see it, but by the third year of top and front loss my fragile ego could no longer tolerate it. I set about searching the internet for information on hair transplants.

During my search I discovered follicular unit transplantation and Dr. Bernstein’s seminal research on the topic. I was very impressed with both. Shortly thereafter a business trip took me to New Jersey and I took advantage thereof to attend an open house at Dr. Bernstein’s office. The doctor’s open and honest approach to hair transplantation closed the deal for me and I arranged for my first session some 10 weeks later.

When the time for my session came, my wife and I flew out to New Jersey. We preceded my hair transplant session with a day in Manhattan. It was highlighted by an afternoon at Broadway’s presentation of The Lion King whose tickets we managed to get at the Times Square half-price booth. Our time in New York was worth the trip by itself.

My wife dropped me off at Dr. Bernstein’s New Jersey office the first thing the next morning. Upon entering the office I was provided with a uniform-of-the-day and shown to my “operating room”. I most remember the large comfortable chair and the T.V. which was made available for my viewing pleasure along with a wide selection of video tapes. Once I was seated the doctor came in and drew my new hair line. He then administered the local anesthetic which facilitated the painless removal of the donor hair strip from the back of my head. Then, while the follicular units were being harvested from the donor strip, he generated the first set of implant sites – kind of recalled my days of planting pine trees.

The follicular units were planted in the recipient sites which the doctor had prepared. I was left to occupy the time as I saw fit subject to the constraint of staying in the chair and keeping my head moderately still. This set of operations was repeated until around noon when my wife came in and we were given an opportunity to have a very nice lunch together in the “operating room,” courtesy of Dr. Bernstein.

Following lunch the routine was resumed until the some 2000 follicular units were successfully planted. This was accomplished by about 3 o’clock. We then spent an hour or so cleaning up and being given our post-operative care instructions. My wife then drove us to the hotel and following a night of modest discomfort – eased by the drugs provided upon our departure from Dr. Bernstein’s office – we flew back home.

I had scheduled the procedure at the beginning of a 2 week vacation. I had done such to provide sufficient time to recover from the hair transplant. This turned out to be unnecessary as there was very little negative residual affects from the procedure. However, it did provide time for the obvious physical appearance changes to recede and allowed me to cover those remaining with a comb over. Consequently, when I returned to work, none of my workmates ever mentioned noticing anything different about my appearance. During the following 6 months my transplanted hair went through its break in period and became at one with the hair which had preceded it. I was very glad that I had undertaken the hair restoration and that I had chosen Dr. Bernstein to make it happen.

Unfortunately, with the passage of time my original, non-transplanted hair continued to depart my company. Several years later I returned to New Jersey and Dr. Bernstein to counteract this impact of time. The 2nd transplant was pretty much a repeat of the 1st except for being a bit shorter owing to the need for fewer follicular units to be transplanted. By this time I was retired from work and had no worries about encountering any workmates. But it really didn’t matter as the 1st procedure provided me sufficient hair cover to venture forth bareheaded on the day following the hair transplant confident that no one could see anything different. Looking back, I am very satisfied with my decision to undergo hair transplantation and to have done it with Dr. Bernstein and his staff.

Sincerely,
J. Q.
