The highly-rated CBS television program “The Early Show” interviewed Dr. Bernstein as part of a three-part series on hair loss in women. In the video, Julie Chen interviews Dr. Bernstein and a female hair transplant patient who had a procedure at Bernstein Medical – Center for Hair Restoration.
They discuss various medical treatments for hair loss in women — including Minoxidil (the active ingredient found in Rogaine), Propecia (the commercial name for the drug Finasteride), and cortisone — as well as the reasons why she chose follicular unit transplantation (FUT).
Dr. Bernstein describes the differences between the old large-graft transplants and today’s techniques, and they also touch on the typical cost of a hair transplant procedure.
