Dr. Bernstein Conducts the First Master Class in Robotic Hair Transplantation

This past week was an exciting one at Bernstein Medical – Center for Hair Restoration. We welcomed five doctors from across the country for the first ever Master Class on Robotic Hair Restoration. Dr. Bernstein was chosen to lead this class based on his innovative work in both hair restoration and robotic hair transplantation.

The event was sponsored by Restoration Robotics, the manufacturer of the ARTAS Robotic Hair Restoration System. The day’s itinerary included a live ARTAS Robotic FUE procedure, a series of twelve presentations and a Q & A session. Dr. Bernstein drew from his years of experience to present his expertise in robotic hair restoration to the other doctors in attendance.

Topics included; technical aspects of robotic surgery, challenges of donor and recipient site planning, hairline design, and long-hair robotic FUE. In the live demonstration, Dr. Bernstein demonstrated techniques for optimal tensioner placement, nuances of extraction, calculating donor yields and Follicular Unit Graft selection.
