Patient RMB had two procedures; a follicular unit transplant via strip harvesting (FUT/strip), followed by a robotic follicular unit extraction procedure (R-RUE) several years later. When the patient decided on the strip procedure he had always worn his hair long. Several years after the surgery, he started wearing his hair short on the sides. Although the FUT scar healed well, the linear scar would occasionally be visible when he clipped his sides. We used the R-FUE procedure to add fullness to his forelock area and to better camouflage the donor scar when he wore his hair short.
