Michael B. Wolfeld MD FACS is a board certified plastic surgeon and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. At Bernstein Medical he performs hair restoration procedures using the newest technologies and treatments – including the ARTAS® Robotic Hair Transplant system and PRP therapy.
Dr. Wolfeld is nationally published on various topics in aesthetic surgery and lectures on new advances in hair restoration and robotic hair transplant surgery. He has been selected for three consecutive years, 2014-2016, as a “Super Doctor” in plastic surgery, a list of top physicians in the field published annually in the New York Times.
Dr. Wolfeld received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical School. He completed the highly competitive six year training program in the specialty of plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. In addition, he completed an aesthetic fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital and the prestigious Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital.
Dr. Wolfeld combines years of education and experience with compassion and an extraordinary attention to detail in order to achieve natural aesthetic results for each of his patients. Dr. Wolfeld’s bedside manner, lengthy detailed consultations, and operative results are the reasons that his patients repeatedly refer him to their family and friends.
In addition to his work at Bernstein Medical, Dr. Wolfeld helps to train the next generation of plastic surgeons at Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan Eye, Ear, & Throat Hospital, and the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary. He has participated in international plastic surgery missions including traveling to South America to treat children with various congenital deformities.
Dr. Wolfeld lives in Manhattan with his wife Jill and sons Maxwell and Alec.
