Dr. Bernstein is named “Best Doctor” for 8th Year for Hair Transplant Surgery

Robert M. Bernstein, M.D., F.A.A.D., Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Columbia University and founder of Bernstein Medical – Center for Hair Restoration in New York, has been selected as one of New York Magazine’s “Best Doctors” for the eighth year in a row.

Chosen for pioneering the revolutionary hair transplant technique known as Follicular Unit Hair Transplantation, Dr. Bernstein has been selected by a peer-review process from a pool of board-certified physicians who are given an anonymous and confidential opportunity to nominate outstanding doctors in various medical specialties and sub-specialties. This process is conducted by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.

These special annual issues of New York Magazine present the findings of Castle Connolly who also solicits nominations from hospital Presidents, Vice Presidents of Medical Affairs or the equivalent position and Chiefs of Service in Manhattan, Staten Island Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn, Long Island, Rockland County, Westchester County, and parts of Connecticut and New Jersey. Twelve thousand forms are sent for each selection process.
 
The medical professionals are asked to nominate the best doctors in a particular field. New York Magazine published the opinions of nominators who took into account Dr. Bernstein’s education, residency, board certification, hospital appointment, disciplinary record and reputation for dealing with patients of his sub-specialty, surgical hair restoration.
