Dr. Bernstein, a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Columbia University in New York, offers consultations and hair transplant surgery for our New Jersey-based patients at our sate-of-the-art hair restoration facility in mid-town Manhattan.
Dr. Bernstein conducts the personal consultations himself. In his view, patients coming to the Bernstein Medical – Center for Hair Restoration are seeking the best solution for their hair loss, rather than simply coming for hair transplantation. Each NJ hair transplant patient is given a thorough evaluation and then a detailed explanation about the nature of their hair loss and the best therapeutic options, whether medical or surgical.
Although Dr. Bernstein’s practice is focused on surgical aspects of hair replacement, hair transplants are only considered when other options have proven ineffective. If a hair transplant for a patient traveling from New Jersey is recommended, the hair replacement procedure will be carried out in our Center for Hair Restoration with impeccable technique and with the utmost attention to aesthetic details.
As a referral center, Dr. Bernstein spends a significant portion of his time on New Jersey patients that are sent to the practice for corrective surgery and for the management of difficult surgical hair restoration cases. He also devotes time teaching and publishing his work in the major medical journals.
