Revage Laser System

The Revage 670 Laser is a low-level laser treatment for thinning hair. The system, utilizing Rotational PhotoTherapy (RPT), contains 30 laser diodes that rotate 180 degrees around the scalp. This dynamic process increases the contact of the laser energy with the hair follicles and thus is potentially more effective in stimulating hair growth than hand-held lasers.

The Revage 670 Laser is a safe and painless laser system. It has been issued an accession number by the FDA. This means that the product is classified as a cosmetic product and has met the international laser standard for safety.

Studies with the device have shown that the low level laser produces an 85% success rate in halting the progression of hair loss and up to a 39% increase in fullness.

Treatments are administered twice per week for 6 weeks and then once a week for the next 16 weeks. Once hair growth has been observed, periodic touch-ups may be needed to maintain the benefits of the treatment. Each treatment session takes approximately 30 minutes.

Laser light therapy with the Revage system is particularly suitable for women, as laser treatments work best when there are diffuse regions of thinning in the scalp, rather than completely bald areas – the pattern most commonly seen in female pattern hair loss. Since the laser light serves to thicken fine, miniaturized hair, it is particularly suitable in these thinning areas. The Revage system is able to penetrate down to the hair follicles and deliver a uniform field of energy in these areas.
