1 month after my surgery I massaged my head by squeezing the scalp gently. Now I notice several pimples in red and a few follicles with blood oozing out. Bleeding stopped immediately upon stopping the massage, but I am concerned if I've done any damage to those grafts and others showing red pimples... Please help.

Dr. Bernstein: One month after the procedure the grafts are permanent, so you don’t need to worry. The pimples were most likely caused by early hair growth trying to push through the skin if the pore had closed off.

14 days after my surgery my scabs are pretty much gone. I notice that my scalp seemed to be a little sore on certain parts of the transplanted scalp after my hair cut on day 12. On day 15, I was washing my hair. The water was a little hot, when i pulled my hair out the running, i noticed a little bleeding on front of my hair. Did I lose a follicle after 14 days?

Dr. Bernstein: After 10 days, the grafts are permanent. The bleeding may have represented an ingrown hair breaking through the skin. It is nothing to be concerned about.
