Q: Are there any side effects to the laser comb?

A: There can be an early temporary hair shedding in some patients. This is felt to be due to an acceleration of the hair cycle and is probably a mechanism similar to the one that causes early shedding when using Rogaine (Minoxidil) or Propecia (Finasteride).

    i bought the hair max laser comb. are there any side effects? i felt an increased heart rate and slightly dizzy. although i have hypertension, it is controlled by meds.

    Dr. Bernstein: There are no known systemic effects from the low level light lasers. It would be best to contact the doctor that is following you for your blood pressure.
