NeoGraft Hair Transplant Machine for FUE

The NeoGraft Transplant Machine is a new robotic device that automates follicular unit extraction (FUE) by using an oscillating punch to separate the follicular unit grafts from the surrounding tissue and then a suction mechanism to remove the grafts from the scalp.

The Neograft Machine is claimed to have the advantage of reducing the torsion (twisting motion) of traditional motorized punches that can create torsion and friction as the tool spins around at high speed. Torsion can cause damage to the follicles and friction creates heat which can also damage the hair. The NeoGraft instrument uses slow oscillation (a back and forth movement) which loosens the follicle without causing much torsion or friction and then the suction phase takes over to remove the follicles that have been separated by the oscillation, Normally the physician uses tweezers, which, if used improperly can injure grafts.
