Can a Hair Transplant Restore My Adolescent Hairline?

October 6th, 2015

Dr. Wolfeld discusses hairline restoration and importance of incorporating future hair loss into aesthetic plan of a hair transplant.

Here is a transcript of the video:

Dr. Wolfeld: We have a lot of patients who come in for a consultation and are looking to recreate their hairline to where it was when they were in their mid-twenties or maybe about ten or fifteen years younger than where they are right now. And what is really important is to look at the patient where they are at this point in time and to try and anticipate how their hairline is going to further recede as they get older.

A natural hairline, as someone ages, is where the temples are receded and your hairline moves back somewhat. It’s important to strengthen and create this hairline so that it looks natural when a person ages into their late thirties, forties and into their fifties, it will always continue to look natural. To try and lower your hairline, or to try to fill in the temple areas, may look unnatural as you continue to bald and as you continue to thin into the future.

So, once again, it’s important to come in for an examination and a consultation, and to create a hairline that will look natural as you continue to age and will be a mature hairline for you. This is going to give you the most natural aesthetic appearance.
