December 14th, 2001

In this video, Dr. Bernstein and a patient at Bernstein Medical are interviewed by Charles Gibson of “Good Morning America” in their two-part series on treating hair loss called, “The Bald Facts.” The patient touches on many issues around living with male pattern baldness; including his fear of being unattractive to women and his experiences with toupees and hairpieces.

Dr. Bernstein discusses the importance of aesthetic planning of a hair transplant, the difference between the old “pluggy” transplants and today’s modern follicular unit transplantation techniques, and the typical cost of a hair transplant.

In addition to watching the video above, you can read a full transcript of the interview.
