Sejal Shah, M.D., F.A.A.D.
Sejal Shah, M.D., F.A.A.D. is an Assistant Attending in Dermatology at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, an affiliate of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. She is an Associate at Bernstein Medical – Center for Hair Restoration.
Dr. Shah has an expertise in diagnosing hair loss in women and medical therapies for the treatment of hair loss. Prior to completing her dermatology residency, she was a clinical research fellow in the Department of Dermatology at St. Luke’s Roosevelt during which time she developed her interest in hair loss in women. In particular, she studied scarring hair loss and was involved in initiating clinical trials investigating various medical treatments for scarring hair loss. She has authored several articles on the topic and has presented her research findings at national and international meetings.
Dr. Shah graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Alabama. She continued her postgraduate studies at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York where she earned her medical degree. She completed her internship in internal medicine and dermatology residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt, where she served as chief resident.
