Q: What is the charge for consultations?
A: Consultation for Patterned Hair Loss (Androgenetic Alopecia)
The doctor will perform a diagnostic evaluation of your hair loss and will recommend medical therapy and/or surgical hair restoration. The evaluation will include assessment of density and miniaturization, discussion of your Norwood Class (in men) or Ludwig Class (in women) and the various therapeutic options available to you. When appropriate lab tests and/or biopsies will be performed.
The fee for this physician evaluation is $150. If a biopsy or other testing is needed, there will be an additional charge. Payment is expected at the time of your visit. If lab tests are performed, you will receive a separate bill from the lab. We do not accept medical insurance; however, our staff will provide you with a form that you can submit to your insurance carrier.
Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluations for Diffuse Hair Loss
The doctor performs diagnostic evaluations for patients with diffuse hair loss (generalized thinning), a condition most often seen in women. This comprehensive diagnostic evaluation includes a detailed history, microscopic hair analysis, telogen/anagen ratios, densitometry for miniaturization, and lab tests and/or a biopsy when appropriate.
The fee for this evaluation is $275. If a biopsy is needed, there will be an additional charge. Payment is expected at the time of your visit. You will receive a separate bill for lab tests that will be sent to you directly from the lab. We do not accept medical insurance; however, our staff will provide you with a form that you can submit to your insurance carrier.
Eyebrow/Eyelash Consultation
The doctor performs evaluations for patients regarding thinning eyebrows or eyelashes. The evaluation includes an assessment and evaluation of candidacy for surgical eyebrow restoration (including assessment of the stability of the donor area), as well as non-surgical treatments such as Latisse (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution). The fee for this consultation is $150.

Q: Do you take insurance?
A: While we do not accept insurance, you will be provided you with an invoice for your consultation visit that you can submit to your insurance company. Hair transplant procedures are generally considered cosmetic in nature and are, therefore, not reimbursable. If the hair replacement or corrective surgery is due to an injury or a medical condition, then it may be covered. We will give you an operative report and financial records in these situations. Because Regulations will vary from state to state, you should check with your individual insurance carrier.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: If you need to cancel or re-schedule your hair transplant or corrective procedure, this should be done at least two weeks prior to the scheduled date of your procedure. If you do not give us two weeks notice you will be at risk of losing your deposit.
Q: What if I do not receive the number of grafts that I was scheduled for?
A: You will only pay for what you receive during your hair transplantation or repair procedure. If you do not receive the number of grafts that you were scheduled for, a refund will be issued.
Q: How long will the hair transplant take?
A: Depending on the type of procedure you will be having, i.e. hair replacement or corrective surgery, your procedure can take from several hours to a full day. We will make every effort to keep you comfortable and relaxed – the day will go by quickly.
